SP bet crowned Ms Dapitan 2010 By: Lerio E. Elim The 19-year-old graduate of Management Accounting, representing the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) was crowned Ms. Dapitan 2010 during the coronation night held at 8:30 p.m., July 23, at the Dapitan City Multi-Purpose Cultural and Sports Center.  (Center) : Miss Dapitan 2010, Maureen C. Morales (Left) : 1st runner-up,Wella G. Saguin, (Right) : 2nd runner-up, Jie P. Daguinotas Maureen C. Morales took home the crown and inherited the title from 2009 winner, Lydith Marie Barrera. Morales received P25,000 as cash prize. Wella G. Saguin representing Association of Barangay Captains placed 1st runner-up, while Jie P. Daguinotas representing Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) was 2nd runner-up. The 1st runner-up received P20,000 and P15,000 for the 2nd runner-up as cash prize. The pageant had a total of 11 candidates that vied for the Miss Dapitan crown. The 11 candidates competed in their Production Number, Swimwear and Gown to determine the top three semifinalists. In the last round of the contest, the question-and-answer portion. The remaining three candidates were asked about the significance of our national hero, Dr, Jose P. Rizal in their lives as Dapitanons. The winners were chosen by the five judges namely, Stephen L. Yap, Carlou Bernaldez, Lirmie Eguia, Rosemarie Palma and Dr. Rosemarie L. Dublin.
