It will be a week-long inaugural celebration dubbed as Kasa-Kaza 2022 for Governor-elect Rosalina Jalosjos as she takes oath on the 30th of June.
Kasa-Kaza which stands for victory of the people of Zamboanga del Norte is a way of appreciating the support for the recent election that will be outset on June 27 and wrap up on July 3, 2022, at the Zamboanga del Norte Sports Complex, the former venue of the renowned Hudyaka ZaNorte Festival.
To kick off the week-long celebration is a showdown, Reggae Night with the local bands in the province and a fireworks display at the Glorious Fantasyland on June 27. ZaNorte Sexuality and Gender Alliance (ZANSAGA) will have a presentation on June 28 alongside live band entertainment. There will be a Battle of singers for both adult and kids category on June 29 tagged as ZaNorte’s The Clash while a live band will entertain the public on the 30th.
Thrill awaits the public for the Night Motocross show on July 1 at ZaNorte Sports Complex while the oldest running noontime show Eat Bulaga of GMA-7 will hold a live show from 11:30 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon on July 2 with its hosts, actors and actresses thereafter, will be the inaugural ceremony of Governor “Nanay Nene” witnessed by the different officials from the province and the general public.
The Subanen tribe which the governor has high respect will carry on their traditional Buklog sa Maya. This traditional ritual is also the tribe’s way of showing their gratitude to the governor for the love and respect for their tradition that up until now they were able to revere since the parents of Governor Jalosjos have Subanen blood.
Battle of the Bands and immense partying Kasa Kaza will round off the activities at the Sports Complex alongside renowned DJs from Cebu City. Everyone will still witness a grand fireworks display.
Aside from the different exciting activities and nightly shows, there are also the sporting events—unity run, tennis, beach volleyball and MTB challenge that will be played in the two cities of Dipolog and Dapitan and the display of various products from the different municipalities in the province at the Agri-Trade Fair and an array of foods from the varied food stalls.
