The Local Government Unit of Dapitan now started the Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) to hasten the processing of business permits for both new applicants and renewal this year at the New Government Center.

Engr. Roel P. Galanido, division chief at the City’s Licensing and Permits Division said all agencies relating to the processing of business permits such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Office of the Building Official (OBO), City ENRO, City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), City Health Office, City Treasurer’s Office and Market are now prepared to entertain advent clients operating their businesses in the city.

There are three steps in renewing business permits. First is to accomplish the Business Permit Unified Form for computation of business tax and regulatory fees; the second is payment and issuance of business permit signed by the City Treasurer; third is the approval of the business permit by the City Mayor or City Administrator.

For new business applications, applicants are required to proceed to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to secure business registration.

The Business One-Stop Shop which started this first week will run through January 20.

Engr. Galanido advised all business owners or new business applicants to grab this opportunity and refrain from processing their permits at the last hour to stay away from paying unwanted penalties.
